Price Of A Porch

I have a detached modern house ( approx 2001). The front door could do with replacing ,as could the paving slabs outside the front door that are slightly uneven and cracking. So was considering getting a porch built, partly to add for keen appeal and possibly make it more sellable in the future.
Unfortunately I’m going to have to get it on finance, as I don’t have cash upfront and I already have a loan for previous home improvements. Therefore I’m getting a quotes from two big companies for the finance, first one being Anglian and second from Britelite ( a big ish company from Kent) who I’ve used before for new doors.
Anyone had a porch built for around the 5k mark or under? I’m half expecting Anglian to quote me something ridiculous, but am curious to see what they come up with. All quotes are free no obligation, of course I’m aware they will be pestering me for years to come with phone calls.

I doubt the cost will add more to the value of the house. Getting it on finance seems crazy to me.

Probably won’t add value to house but we’re not planning on moving for a long while. I should have said would make it more desirable if we were to sell in the future.
Finance may sound crazy but I don’t have the cash upfront. Some of them offer 0% APR . Of course if it’s not do-able we’ll just walk away. Just curious to see if anyone has had a porch built by one of the national companies and what the cost was.

I think mine cost about £2000 but only needed the front bit as my house has a set back front door. I would be very wary of getting a loan from the window company (especially if they say they can do you a huge discount but only if you sign up right now). Couldn't you just paint or replace the front door and tidy up the paving? It would be a lot cheaper (under £1000) and you'd have less debt to worry about. I like porches but it would make no difference at all to whether or not I wanted to buy a house.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to get into debt over a porch.

Paint the door and save up your cash until you have enough money to spend on a porch upfront.

I doubt the national companies woudl do you a porch for less than 8k.
