Woodworm

How worried would you be if you spotted two of the critters?

I assume they are woodworm, I've never seen them before.

A little bit like tiny furry woodlice.

I'm hoping it's not some major infestation, I can't see any holes in woodwork or any dust anywhere near them.

From Google they seem to be the size of grains or rice and look like tiny tiny tiny beetle.....is this what you saw?

Could they be Carpet Beetle?

Possibly carpet beetle. Our carpet is new (by that I mean 12 months old but is pure wool)

Ugly little brutes eh? Sorry, no idea of a household treatment, I only deal with them through work, I use mothballs.

If you have any violins in the house, they love to munch through the hair in the bow ( it looks like someone has sniped through it with scissors). Give the case a hover and pop in a moth ball.
