Got the survey - what now?

I’ve just got my survey report. Fortunately nothing major. I’ll send it through to my solicitor. Presumably he doesn’t read the whole thing so should I highlight bits that need to be followed up with the vendor?

Now that you have read your survey, if there is anything on it, that you need explaining, you need to speak to your Surveyor. You then need to decide whether or not you would like to purchase the property, and what your offer will be. When you have done this, you need to ring the Estate Agent, for them to forward your offer. The Solicitor will be your last port of call. Good luck OP, is this your first home ?

Thanks Sugarpiehoneyeye. I’m further down the road than that fortunately. Offer was accepted a while ago and land searches done. Feels like we’re nearly there but am always cautious! Not my first property but over 20 years since I last did it!

@Sugarpiehoneyeye
On the assumption Pud is buying a home in England or Wales, then the survey is carried out after an offer has been submitted, and terms have been agreed with the vendor.
