Integrated fridges - can they be used if not integrated?

We had to replace our integrated fridge 12 months before we redid the kitchen, and now trying to find a new home for it.

An acquaintance is interested but they don’t have a space to install it. Can it be used without a carcass? It’s currently sitting in our living room in its old carcass but it will be too heavy to move this way.

Also is 40% of the price we paid fair? It’s still under warranty and barely been used. The buyer knows all of this.

Thank you!

I hate integrated appliances. So much more expensive and difficult to replace.

Once you take the carcass door off the fridge door, does it still have a usable handle? I'd have thought not... you could ring the manufacturers and ask them? Or go on their website?

Technically it will be perfectly usable yes, but they are not made to be visible and often will want door fronts fitting for ease of opening. Could they dismantle the cabinet for transport, presuming they have room for it in the intended new home?

Price seems fair to me.

Yes will be useable. Pricewise maybe look on ebay, suspect maybe lower than 40 percent.

My mum did for a good while - looked ugly as fuck and you had to open the doors using the side of them but the fridge freezer worked fine.

'Twas a period of "I'm not bloody replacing stuff till I do the kitchen" economising.

We use our old integrated fridge freezer in the garage now as a spare. Works fine.
No handles though as pp states and really ugly. Can’t imagine someone using it in the kitchen without the cabinet door

Works, but will look ugly and won't have a handle
