How long does it take to raise enquires?

Just that.. I know our buyer's solicitor received searches back from local authority 1 week ago, but they have not raised any enquires to our sol. Their only response is: we will get back to you in due course. The rest of the chain is ready to exchange. How long does it take to put together the enquires really?

Hi @omehelpplease38 - I'm in the same position but the buyer's solicitor has been so painfully slow to even send off for the searches I have no idea how long they might take!

The Waiting To Exchange thread might help (or at least be somewhere to share the venting of the chain process!)

Get the EA to contact the buyers and see where they think things are up to. They might not know searches are back and once they do they can give their solicitors a nudge more effectively - they are paying the bill after all.

Don't forget that every solicitor or conveyancer will be dealing with lots of different transactions and the ones which are further along will take priority, especially towards the end of the week.
