How to clean front door and outside window frames?

Our road has become busy recently (due to diversions) and so the front door, outside window sills and frames look very dusty.

What's the best way to clean them and make them sparkly?

I just use hot soapy water (soapy as in Fairy Liquid ) and a clean cloth plus a dry one to buff. We have a stupid white plastic door and I'm always cleaning it 😀

wet wash with a soft brush and a bucket of warm water with car shampoo in it. The shampoo leaves a bit of a shine. Household detergents will dull the surface.

You have to wash and rinse it enough to get all the dirt off, otherwise some of the dirt will mix into the polish and he harder to get off when it dries.

You can use a paintbrush for crevices like you may find on an older wooden door and around glass, but a hand brush as used with a dustpan is better for most of it. If you are not tall enough, a soft sweeping brush. Not one with stiff bristles as they will scratch the surface.

Don't wipe or rub the dust off dry, as it is abrasive and will dull the surface and scratch glass.

Great! Thanks all. I am having tea at the moment - will be out doing the cleaning shortly. What a lovely thing to do on a bright morning like this ! Hmm
