Kitchen cupboards - what colour?

I want to get my cupboards sprayed/painted. They are in pretty good condition, I am just very tired of them.

I have black worktops and black slate floor. Walls are white metro tiles with white grout.

I'd love a dark grey, but do you think it would be too dark? Like this one.

have you considered simply buying new doors and end-panels? they are available in a wide range of colours and woods. They're mostly standard sizes, but specials can be made to order. they are obtainable from places that make or distribute doors. Kitchen fitting companies and restylers also sell them on, at different prices.

What does respraying cost?

With a black floor, the kitchen will look really dark - how about one of farrow & ball's off white and neutral colours - Mizzle, Elephant Breath, Bone, Shaded White etc?

The quote for spraying was around £1,500.

I quite like the look of Mizzle.

Do you have much natural light into the room? I’m inclined to think the grey will make it too much dark. What colour are they now?
