Vertical radiators in an Edwardian terrace

I need new radiators. Space wise the vertical radiators appeal but I haven't seen any that look nice or even just unobtrusive. Any leads? Thanks

By their nature they are more visible, but you can buy them in all sorts of RAL colours or just paint them so they blend with the wall more. What about the more traditional looking column style ones?

I believe vertical rads are much less efficient than horizontal

Hmm, may have to go back to the drawing board. Thank you. I did find a nice one but it was £5k which did make me rethink slightly. Perhaps we should just freeze and await the long term refurb of ground floor and digging out basement and then install underfloor heating.

We brought traditional column vertical radiators from trade radiators, they were much cheaper priced than anywhere else and we are really pleased with them

I would choose either the old style column ones in vertical format, or a completely plain flat panel one like Hudevad's P5 or Plan XV. Behind a door is a good unobtrusive location (though not if the door stays open most of the time as it will block the heat).
