Anxious!

So we finally (after two weeks of running around getting paperwork from employers) have submitted our mortgage application with Natwest.. How long does it usually take to come back? I'm so nervous about it all, our broker seems confident but i just want it sorted.. I'm also super worried the vendors will think we aren't progressing quickly enough but the solicitor has already started searches so fingers crossed they don't think we're time wasters.. Is it possible they will pull out because of a two week wait to get this far? I'm a FTB and have bad anxiety so can't really tell what is normal vs what is just me worrying!

The vendors are probably selling to you and buying somewhere else. I imagine their stress levels are somewhat higher! Keep the EA informed of where you are up to because the vendors will want to know when the survey is taking place.

@wowfudge Thank you! Yeah i just called the EA to let them know, i was just so worried about it all, we both love the house and i'm terrified of losing it because of something stupid :(

The first thing you need to get sorted is the survey, because that'll tell you if the property is in good condition, if it's not in good condition, you may be able to use that information to ask for the price to be reduced. The bank will probably ask you to get a survey through them as well.

A two week wait is nothing, it takes months to buy a house
