Kitchen plan critique

I'm pretty much set on the attached plan but is there anything that's going to drive me mad (other than the offset hob/extractor?!)

I've looked at it so many times I don't know which way is up!

A - American style fridge freezer
B - double drawer dishwasher
C - sink
D - hob and extractor
E & G single ovens
F - microwave and warming drawer
H - island

Yes - both the fridge freezer and dishwasher open too close to the door. Lots of scope for people walking into them and depending which way that door opens, the fridge door clashing with the room door.

Agreed- We changed our door swing to accommodate units close to the door.
Have you any seating on the island? I guess that will be your prep area?

KitchenConundrum · 29/08/2018 15:35

Thanks.

The door opens into the next room which is access to the pantry/utility room do not too much traffic in and out.

Yes there will be seating on one side of the island and it will be the main prep area although the back run measures 4.4m (albeit broken up by hob and sink)

The dishwasher will go where we currently have an oven and there hasn't been an problem to date so hopefully that's not an issue.

Okay - no issues with that door then. Is there worktop space between the draining board/sink and hob? There should be.

MissMarplesKnitting · 29/08/2018 15:45

Where's the bin going.

We didn't plan this properly and now it's miles from where we prep and it drives me potty.

KitchenConundrum · 29/08/2018 16:14

There's just over 90 cm hob to sink - is that enough??

Where bin hours is a good question probably in a cupboard opposite hob but not sure.

90cm is fine - as long as the space isn't draining board as you'll find it too cramped and it'll look cramped.

KitchenConundrum · 29/08/2018 16:21

No draining board there'll Ben drainer grooves in the quartz but I think they'll probably be on the other side do above the dishwasher.

Thanks!!! I just want to the whole thing finished now !

Do you grill much?

Our ovens are not next to our job and hence not covered by our extractor. Grilling food makes the house smell now.

Teenytinyvoice · 29/08/2018 16:22

Hob! They are not next to the hob!

KitchenConundrum · 29/08/2018 16:29

I hadn't even thought about grilling!

We don't grill lots - bacon sandwiches on the weekend which always seem to necessitate an open door so maybe we'll be ok.....

Bumping in case anyone else has ideas before I commit!
