Removing old felt tip pen from door

Any tips?

I've moved into a flat and there is writing in what looks like felt tip or marker on a door. They are unpainted brown wood doors. I've tried soapy water, white spirits but it's not budging. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I scrubbed mine with a scourer and soapy water, it was just felt tip on the door though rather than marker pen so the ink hadn't soaked into the wood too much.

Try those magic erasers. I got all of my sons penmanship off the door frames with one.

If ink spray cheap hair spray on it and press a clean rag against it.

Or bar keepers friend on a cheap microfibre cloth and scrub.

I second the magic erasers, they're great.

I third a magic eraser.

Nail varnish remover. But try it on a test patch first

Thanks. I've tried these but it's not budging. Must be permanent market Sad

The permanent marker will have soaked into the wood if they are unplanted. Your only option would be to sand them.
