Kitchen worktop

So I’m about to create a utility room out of my very small ‘study’ room.

I’m going to need 152cm of worktop, but from what I can see, the big DIY shops sell it in 3m length as standard.

I do want to have a look at and feel the worktops before I buy, hence looking at B&Q, wickes etc

Do I have any option other than buying 3m, and effectively leaving half of it in the store??

You don't leave it in the store - it's yours to takeaway. Some of the B&Q ones are sold in 2m lengths.

I've ask them to cut it up into smaller pieces and I stored it in the garage. I had one piece cut up and I bought a trim to go around the edge and made it into a butchers block.
