House purchase via private sale

I'm purchasing a house via a private sale, FTB so I have absolutely no idea of the process.

Purchase price was agreed 2 weeks ago, since then I've send all my documents off to my mortgage broker. She came back to me with a full acceptance this week and said it has now been passed to the underwriters.

I've already got a solicitor in place, who is dealing another issue, so she will also be handling the house purchase for me.

Is there anything else I should be doing now? Does the mortgage valuation and then searches get prompted by my solicitor once the mortgage application has gone through or do I need to arrange these?

I'm currently in a rented house so have no plans to give notice until contracts are exchanged but just want to make sure I'm not causing any delays now.

Its all dealt with by your solicitor and theirs.

Thanks. The vendor hasn't yet instructed a solicitor but I'll be meeting with mine next week.
