What colour tiles for en suite?

As part of a house renovation we will be creating an en suite to the master bedroom which has no natural light. There is no way to get light in and we are resigned to this. The architect has suggested grey wall tiles and a grey floor. I am no great fan of grey anyway and I think it will look dated quite quickly, but above all I think grey will make the room look and feel like a tomb.

So, what colour wall tiles would anyone suggest? I need some ideas!

I’m having coloured tiles in the shower space and then all white tiles with possibly a coloured grout. I’m hoping this will make it look bright and airy. I do have a window though.

Personally I would go white and accessorise with colour. Maybe a one colour border tile at a push.

You could get away with a coloured floor as it would be easier to replace if you really fancied a change rather than pulling down all the walls!
