I need ideas, really practical ideas. Not award winning stuff. Terrace house scale.
I don't have a kitchen with a side return. It's not a victorian house. The kitchen is a rectangle that runs along the back of the house.

Which direction does it face? Definitely consider how well insulated the extension will be in winter and how hot it might get in summer (especially if it is south facing and you are considering skylights etc).

(A pic of ours prob isn't relevant as it's a Victorian with side return)

Something else to consider: I really wish we had a back porch/somewhere to leave muddy shoes from the back garden..
