Inspiration for new sitting room

So you guys were great help when my kitchen was being installed, going to see what you suggest for my sitting room!

it's just painted white for now but I can see already that it doesn't work. Large window is east facing, the smaller ones face south.

Don't have a sofa yet, floor is Oak. Tempted to go dark here as this room will be mostly used in the evening.

Any suggestions? Hard to see with all the builder's crap, but it'll be cleared out next week. Thanks

What style do you like? Are you a traditional type, or more modern? What’s your budget?

Definitely contemporary style. Budget atm is as little as possible as we have just moved in (after building).

I need help with paint, then I'll add sofa and rug and blinds/curtains as funds allow.
