I have a couple of open topped Land drains running under the Courtyard at the back of my house.
Normally I dig all the old leaves / mud out of these by hand each year, working through the water that always sits in these drains.
Last year I watched a Rat exiting one of these drains and since then am nervous about digging out the crud using just my gloved hands.
Could anyone reccomend a pump or tool that will remove the water and sludge from these drains ?
