Please help - what colour work surface?

Kitchen units will be mat white, handleless. Walls will be white. Floor will be engineered wood (oak). It's north facing so needs warming up generally. Ideally from a looks POV we'd go for wooden work surfaces but for practicality we want quartz - but what colour?

Any advice (links even better) would be hugely appreciated as we are going mad trying to make a decision..

Thank you!

I have exactly the same as you. Matte white handleless with oak floors and white walls. M work surface is quartz. It's a very subtle faux marble so essentially white with a faint grey vein. It sounds all too white but it really isn't. It also doesn't show dirt as much as I thought it might do

Thanks plural that's good to hear. I've been scouring the internet for pictures and am starting to think that white (either marbled or just plain white) is the way to go. We can add extra warmth with wooden shelves and maybe a "feature cabinet" in wood veneer..
