How to adjust ‘adjustable pendant light height?

Just that really. I’ve bought an ‘adjustable height’ pendant light fixture and I’m at a loss how to adjust the height. It has a wire and chain. The wire moves up through the rose but then all the excess wire won’t fit inside of it and the chain clumps up at bottom and looks messy so I doubt this is how I would adjust it? What am I doing wrong?

Have you got a picture ?

You just shorten the wire and chain to whatever length you want.

Each link will have a join in it. Two screwdrivers in the link and prize the two ends in opposite directions until it opens up enough to just take out.

Confusicated The metal links aren’t easily playable they are solid would need up with a screw driver in the eye. They would need pliers and it would ruin the links meaning I couldn’t have it longer again. I thought with it being adjustable it would be easier to adjust than this.

And there would still be lots of excess wire. I thought with it being advertised as adjustable it would just be a case of unclipping and wouldn’t require tools and a lighting expert.

Chickencellar can’t get a pic at moment because I’m not home but it’s exactly like my description so just a regular low hanging light pendent with wire and chain.

The wire you usually coil up inside the ceiling Rose...it can sometimes be a challenge to get it all in depending on how much you’re adjusting. But should be do-able.

And then you remove links from the chain. Al
