Moving to Leighton Buzzard - Nice areas/Areas to avoid

Hi,

Me and my DH are moving to Leighton Buzzard from South London and would like some advice/recommendations on what areas are nice and which we should avoid.

I've heard that Linslade is nice and close to the station however there doesn't seem to be a lot coming up in this area at the moment. I've also seen a few come up in what I think is called the Sandhills estate off of Johnson Drive, what's that like?

It also looks like Redrow are building a new development off of Heath Road but doesn't look like that's going to be ready until early next year now.

If you are commuting by train then you would be better linslade side of town. What kind of house are you looking for?

I will be commuting into London and I can walk to work from Euston which is ideal. I also drive so I'm happy to live slightly further out and drive to the station if necessary.

We're looking for a 3/4 bedroom house either semi-detached or detached.

If you can be further out from the station then the area around Bideford Green or near Southcott Village are both nice

Linslade is good but lots of Victorian terraces, lovely houses with lots of character butparking can be an issue.

My brother lives in Linslade and it's a very popular area. partly because of the schools. Properties there do go very quickly though so you'd have to move fast!

Yea there doesn't seem to be a lot that are coming up in Linslade at the moment and we have a pretty decent budget to work with and have been looking for awhile.

Most of the ones we've viewed so far are the newer houses over on Sandhills estate.

Hello, I would love to enquire on this post too. We are considering houses Sandhills side. We currently live in London and have been looking at leighton buzzard for a while. Do you think commuting to London plus a nursery run is realistic from Sandhills? We prefer the houses there.
Thank you!
