Selling Flat and laying carpet

If you were selling your flat and had to carpet 1 small lounge room and 1 bedroom would you buy cheaper carpet or better quality? Do you think it makes much of a difference when selling a property? The rest of the flat has been gutted and fully renovated high end but not sure what to do about the carpet. Do you think it’s worth spending extra? The rest of the flat is wood floor boards.

Cheaper, for sure. No-one is going to buy the flat specifically because there is expensive carpet in there but the carpet being neutral, clean and new is a big deal

Cheaper definitely, it won't make any difference to the price as long as it's neutral, clean and laid properly.

Thank you both, cheap it is!

Cheaper!
But not the absolute cheapest. I’d put down a cheap underlay and a cheap neutral carpet. I wouldn’t put down the super cheap ‘no need for underlay’ stuff.
