Cute, pretty cottage?

We exchanged on our forever house this week, which is perfect for our family of boys; however, I would love to find a cute, pretty cottage (maybe 2 beds) just for me!!

I’m imagining the cottage out of the film The Holiday, which I can make into a cosy, twee (floral cushions, vintage tea cups and fairy lights everywhere haha) bolthole to escape from trains/planes/Lego/rugby/boy mess!!

Does anyone know of EAs that specialise in cottages? In terms of location, anything within 2 hours of London would be perfect. Thanks!

No agents specialise in cottages I don't think.

The Holiday cottage is actually in a village near Dorking. There are lots of cute cottages in the villages round there. Ripley, Send, Betchworth, Mickleham etc. They are bloody expensive though!

Epsom has some very cute cottages too, check out the area around Chalk Lane. You wouldn't believe you were 10 minutes walk to a town centre.

I live in a very cute cottage, it will be for sale soon! It's Victorian though so no beams or low ceilings.

It was in a village called Shere, about half way between Guildford and Dorking, but only existed as a film set, made specifically for the film.

All that remains is a signpost informing walkers that this was the spot on which the cottage existed for a short period.

I've got my eye on this quirky beauty. Probably doesn't fit your criteria any better than it does mine, but ooh it's just so lovely...

@FadedRed there are much nicer examples of Cotswold cottages than that, it looks quite modern.

The Cotswolds is a great place for cottages and if you're coming from London fairly decent rail links too (Stroud, Kemble, Cheltenham, Kingham)

How about this:

flotSHAM Yes, you are absolutely tight, BUT - the garden, the streams, the little bridge, the views, the garage and workshop shed to keep DH out of my way busy, the funny shaped rooms. TBH, the relative newness of the house appeals because it's less likely to have some of the issues that an older property would have, whilst giving the feeling of a little 'old' cottage IYSWIM.
