Pine bedroom furniture gone orange - how to restore

I have two bedside cabinets, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers all in pine. They are in good condition, waxed and stained, but the stain in has gone a horrible orange colour over time. I don't want to paint them. If I remove the wax will a new (darker) stain colour 'take' over the top of the existing one? If not how do I remove the stain back to the bare wood?

Pine goes that colour over time. Sand it back and see what it's like underneath?

I was hoping to get away without a lot of sanding!

bleach!

Have a google the www is just full of people bleaching their orange pine.

Don't you have to remove the wax and stain first though?

probably, I like to rush in and just do stuff, but would do research for a decent bit of furniture.

I have bleached floorboards in a bathroom, that was more necessity than aesthetics mind you, thanks to the skanky mother of boys who lived here before me, but they came up all aged, windswept and interesting. And more importantly the entire house did not stink of other people's pee. It did smell like a swimming pool for a good while mind you!
People asked where I had bought the "lovely white pine flooring"

Also just daubed bleach onto a driftwood plank to make a coat rack, and that came up well too!
