Neighbour having fire by the tree border between our houses. Will it spread in the heat?

There's a tree/hedge border between our houses, and then I have fencing in front of that.

Neighbour is behind our house with a very large garden and they have been burning god knows what since 9am. I can hear the flames cracking and the smoke is really high and stinking the house out.

My only concern is having a fire in this heat? It's been 29 degrees where I am today and watching the news about the fires that are going on is scaring me even more.

Is it safe for him to be burning so much stuff in this heat so close to the trees and bushes? Or am I being a panicky Pete? BlushConfused

I'd be more concerned about them making sure the fire is put out properly, unless you have peaty soil. Once the sun is off your garden, go out and water everything in the vicinity of the fire. And speak to your neighbour about your concerns.
