This house in Tarleton

Or this house in Farington Moss?

The second house is nicer but the lack of info and photos of the garden is a worry as the first houses garden looks big with a lot of potential. Imo.

We're moving up north nearer to Preston from Essex and a big part is because of the better cost of housing.

I have looked at both these towns/villages. We too are movers from the south. We've actually gone with farington moss as better links for work.
We looked at new builds a while back and found Miller superior, but the development at farington is much bigger.
Tarleton is very handy for southport, but check flood risk on the houses there as they are close to the river.
There is also a new build development down the road in Rufford, which I think are lovely houses.
