Help with layout of 1930s house with rear extension

In need of inspiration! We have a typical 1930s layout with a rear extension which houses a kitchen diner. The original narrow kitchen has been turned into a utility and downstairs loo - however these are off the dining room rather than off the kitchen, and access to the kitchen is currently through the lounge and dining room, which is driving me bonkers bringing in shopping, carrying washing baskets etc. (Plan attached).
We want to reconfigure the downstairs layout, put the toilet in the understairs cupboard, and have the hall opened up so access to the kitchen is through the utility. However doing this means there are loads of doors/walkways and far less wall space for kitchen units/storage.
Has anyone had the same problem, or have any bright ideas of a better way to reconfigure the space?

I would move the wc so it's on the outside wall and push it into the cupboard so that it's a wc/ utility. I would then ideally knock all of the back out to be one open room or if you wanted to keep it seperate then just knock the wall out between the current utility and back room. If budget is really tight the that could be left as a corridor

Sorry about the rubbish drawing but trying to do it on phone! The washing machine could go under the stairs or if a washer and dryer then could be stacked on the opposite side and toilet as far under stairs as possible with sink on opposite wall. It may be a small space but with clever storage it would work and make the living space amazing which is where most of the time is spent

Swap lounge and kitchen, possibly knocking through to kitchen diner. Depends where sun comes from though. Failing that get 3 or 4 architects round, they will help you think.

Could you make the utility & toilet smaller? The old utility/toilet space becomes a hall into the dining kitchen? The utility & toilets are accessed by doors Where the blue line is
