Oh and I clearly didn't read the above properly... Sorry threesocks YOUR room looks gorgeous!!!

bobkate · 01/12/2018 22:51

It was your floor that I was going to say wow to whattodo!!!

Threesocks · 02/12/2018 07:33

@bobkate fingers crossed that the kitchen fitting goes smoothly. Hopefully you will have temporary worktops for Christmas if you can't have the real ones.

Whattodowithaminute · 02/12/2018 08:00

Well done on getting into the house bobkate I’m sort of dreading moving all of our stuff into the house I know it’s going to be chaos for a while. We won’t have worktops in when we move in but they have promised them in pre Xmas. So much still to do...

BirdyandBee · 02/12/2018 20:28

Love your floor whattodo and I love the blue threesocks!

We were supposed to have finished last week but the small little niggly bits are going to be finished next week. Then it’s a rush to get everywhere painted before the carpets are fitted, I’m tored just thinking about it 😴

Whattodowithaminute · 02/12/2018 20:57

birdy we have carpets going in on Tuesday-painting still not finished, the house is chaos; the bedroom which is having carpet installed has wardrobes dismantled all over the floor. I know it can be turned around but still have loads to do.
I was at the house with DH today and he looked a bit overwhelmed-ahhhh!!!

Whattodowithaminute · 06/12/2018 10:49

Carpets are in!!

Looking good @Whattodowithaminute .

We have the front two rooms decorated, first fix plumbing done, en-suite shower tray going in tomorrow ready for tiling next week. Kitchen in, granite coming next week. Wood flooring continuing tomorrow.... I think we might just make it by Xmas, but it is going to be close 🙈

bobkate · 06/12/2018 21:12

Love the progress being made for you all.... fabulous hallway whattodo. The dark carpet against the white woodwork looks ace. It is so lovely having carpet again isn't it!!
Our kitchen floor has been prepped and they think they'll be doing it Saturday Grin So excited, plus the kitchen fitter is starting Monday.... whoo hoo hoo!!!

bobkate · 09/12/2018 01:45

Yay we have flooring Grin so exciting!. Roll on Monday when the kitchen fitter is starting!

MyNameIsJane · 09/12/2018 07:04

Love your flooring @bobkate looking to do similar in our kitchen.

Whattodowithaminute · 09/12/2018 07:49

Wow bobkate really like your floor! Great news re kitchen installation too-what colour have you gone for?

We move in on Thursday Shock still lots to do. DH had a bit of a meltdown that I hadn’t sorted the wall mounted tv properly-so low on my priority list...

Threesocks · 09/12/2018 08:33

Love the floor @bobkate Hope the kitchen install goes smoothly. Can't wait to see the final kitchen.

@Whattodowithaminute good luck with the move.

We are going to have a busy week - granite installation in the kitchen, tiling in the en-suite, wood flooring in the dining, sunroom & office. I am keeping everything crossed we get everything done before Xmas 🙈

bobkate · 10/12/2018 00:20

Thanks all. Really happy with it. whattodo we've gone for a combo of white and grey doors, with slightly veiny white quartz. Hoping I'll love it! My initial plan was for back blue/dark navy but had a last minute change! Hoping I won't regret it when it's in! Your DH sounds like mine. The bloody telly is all he's worried about Hmm
Good luck with the move in on Thursday. I have found this last bit the worst really. Adding Christmas to the mix is just unfair! We were supposed to be all done and finished about 6 weeks ago.
threesocks good luck with your busy week too.

Whattodowithaminute · 13/12/2018 07:22

Moving day!! Hope everyone else continuing to make progress and those of you hoping to be in for Christmas make it!

SpaceBergerac · 13/12/2018 07:52

Good luck whattodo! Hope it all goes smoothly.

Lovely to see everyone's progress. We're in the last push before Xmas too, we won't be totally finished but hoping to have a functional kitchen by then, as they stop work for 2 weeks! So hopefully floor will be tiled today, kitchen arrives Fri/sat, units fitted over weekend so worktop templating can be done Mon, worktops fitted weds, 2nd fix plumbing/elec finished by end of week. If that all goes to plan it will be a true Xmas miracle Xmas Grin
I managed to get the mist coat done in the extension yesterday, it looks so bright in there now!

Looks great @SpaceBergerac and @bobkate

Threesocks · 13/12/2018 12:59

Good luck everyone!!
We have granite being installed as we speak, tiling should be finished in en-suite and utility tomorrow and then second fix plumbing Monday along with wood floors in the other three rooms. There will still be decorating to happen after Xmas but fingers crossed we are habitable!!

Threesocks · 13/12/2018 14:33

The granite is in, just need to decide on a splashback for behind the range cooker .... will have to wait until after Xmas!!

Threesocks · 13/12/2018 14:34

Gah! I can't seem to upload any pics!!

Threesocks · 13/12/2018 21:23

Try again!!

SpaceBergerac · 13/12/2018 22:54

Looking lovely threesocks! What splashback are you thinking of? We've not decided on ours yet either, so that's being put off til the new year.

Threesocks · 14/12/2018 06:35

@SpaceBergerac I am thinking of having a coloured Glass Splashbacks behind the range. I am having a feature wall in the breakfast room which is adult Mulberry burst so am thinking of something along those lines. Think I need to see it all decorated first before I decide!!

bobkate · 14/12/2018 16:30

Lovely 3socks bet you are pleased to have the worktop in.
We've had yet more issshooos. 8 out of 12 of the tall unit doors are wrong SadShockAngry . We are having handless so the slant for the fingers to use should be vertical, but we have horizontal ones.
Means we are obvs having to pay the fitter for the week, and will have to pay him more when the doors get delivered. That is likely to be after Christmas now SadSadSad
Surely if it's the kitchen suppliers fault then they should offer some form of compensation? I honestly am not sure we'll have any funds to get the fitter back anyway Hmm

On a more positive note my lovely electrician has set me up with a temporary worktop on the island with the hob installed!! So I have a hob! Realised I have forgotten get new pans Grin

Threesocks · 14/12/2018 16:35

Oh @bobkate how frustrating - I hope you can get it sorted quickly - where is the kitchen from?

We now have a tiled en-suite and utility. Wood flooring and second fix plumbing next week plus as much decorating, architrave and skirting they can manage before Xmas!!
