I already have this running in chat, but thought I may get more interest here.
First off, I don't really have a type of home. I like character cottages, but I also like the very clean line, light and airy, modern houses too. If I like it, I like it basically. That said, I've been put off new builds for 'snagging' purposes. I've heard a lot of horror stories of shoddy new builds, having leaks, faulty electrics, flooding etc, which doesn't get sorted for ages, if at all! We still wanted to keep our options open though, so we viewed a couple of Hopkins new builds in the same, "up and coming" area. I really loved this townhouse. It was massive and so light. I just felt very drawn to it. The estate agent seemed lovely and I was very honest about my reservations with new builds. She (of course) said that there houses were different for x, y and z reasons. I did a bit of research and it didn't take long to find all the awful 1-2 star reviews. Very disappointed.
So has anyone bought or almost bought, a Hopkins home? Maybe you know someone who has or maybe you've just bought a new build from a different company and want to share your experiences.
