Rough cost of outdoor patio paving?

We want to get some patio paving done, Indian stone, around 45 sq metres.

We're getting quotes done but they are taking a while to come back. We have no idea how much it will cost and if it is majorly out of our budget!
Anyone had a patio done recently and know roughly how much it will cost? We are in the North if that makes a difference.

We live in central England, and have just had 50 square metres done and it cost £3.5k all in.

Thanks Sharpie. Our absolute max budget would be 5k but that is pushing it a bit. 3.5k seems like a good price, I'm hoping the quotes come back around that.

I'm in Essex and been quoted about 5k for a mid size patio in Indian sandstone with blocks round the edge. We have extra expense as doing away with a lot of the lawn so that all needs to be dug out.

We had about 40sq m done last year, expensive bit of the south east and terraced so retaining walls etc, cost a bit under £5k

I am so relieved to hear this! Was so worried that we would get a quote back for like 10k or something!

Just did mine but in cast concrete pavers (£10/sqm). The patio already had a mortar base to work from but I had to break out and re-lay steps. Materials cost was about £850 for 42 sqm (6x jumbo bags of sharp sand, 6 bags of cement, 4 bags of builders sand, and I grossly over ordered on the pavers by around 50 or so- I thought there’d be a lot more wastage on the cuts as I was doing them)

Whole thing took me about 4 full days with 2 friends helping. So id expect professionals to do it at least twice as fast. Call it 3 guys for 2 days and materials (Indian stone is more like £20/sqm) id guess around £1.5-£2k for labour inc VAT and a bit of company profit, as well as materials (around £1k). This is compared to my situation where there was a solid sub grade that required no work.

We've just done about 40sq metres in granite. The slabs cost £1100.
Our garden including levelling and new lawn and laying the patio was £6k

Had one quote back for 4.5k. Hoping others come in cheaper now
