Grey Fence but which of the 50 shades to use?

I am looking at painting my garden fence a dark grey colour, I think it will make the plants really stand out against the dark background. My garden is south facing so it is very bright. Can anyone recommend a dark grey wood treatment or share pictures of their fences?

This is Cuprinol Silver Copse. Goes on lovely but you need a couple of coats at least. These were painted last year and show no signs of fading. Seems to repel the rain too.
Picture looks darker than what the colour actually is and we’re in a North facing garden. Bear in mind also just took this photo and it’s 8pm. This paint really smartened up another old fence that’s at least 30 years old. Don’t need to change it now.

I was going to suggest Cuprinol urban slate, but I think I prefer the silver copse.

Silver Copse is lovely and is a lot darker than I expected, however you have said it looks lighter in real life. I have also been looking at Urban Slate

We looked at Urban slate too but felt it was too dark a shade.

i think that the image i have in my head is a shade between the two :(

Silver birch is lovely but a bit too light for what you want, I'll try and take a photo.

No point posting a photo, it's far too light. Get a tester pot of urban slate and see if it grabs you after a few days.

I found the silver copse ducksback went on much more easily than some of the other fence paints I tried.
