Moving to Lewes maybe. Tips? Best part to look at properties? Schools?

After visiting a few times, we’re contemplating leaving london and moving to Lewes.

Though I suspect renting first is a good idea, I’m kind of tempted to dive right in and start viewing properties to buy!

Which neighbours in Lewes and streets would people recommend? I’m lost as to which parts to start looking at.

Any advice on schools? (Primary.)

And anyone moved from London? How did you feel about it?

It is a small countryish town popular with university staff and more recently with commuters to London .This makes it pricey but many people enjoy its historic buildings and character.
