I checked Elephants Breath for threads here - and thrilled to see so many good comments until I noticed they were 3 and more years old. What's everyone painting their houses now. Purbeck Stone (just another version of EB ?!). Ammonite? Just can't do burnt orange or lime green. Any all advice - its years since I've done a house overhaul. Should I get F&B to call round - has anyone done this and found it useful?

I've got elephant's breath in bedroom. How can it be past it when it's just a lovely neutral? Classic rather than on trend, surely? Paint a colour you like... Simple.

We started off F&B Oxford Stone, but then moved over to the Dulux Heritage range. Lovely colours, a bit wider choice and a tad cheaper per 5 litres. We've gone for Romney Wool, Rosemary Leaf and Ancient Sandstone (different rooms) - colours look great on the walls, definitely worth checking out.

Yes grey and cold shades are out now, a warmer palette is back in. Cream/gold/fern green/dusky pink etc.

Anything blue toned, green/ sage toned or grey.

Apple white? Parissiene (Annie Sloan)?

LemonysSnicket · 02/05/2018 21:53

Antoinette not Parisienne sorry - it’s a v pale pink

We've just painted the lounge with EB, the dining room with Worsted and the hall with Purbeck Stone. The hall's my favourite -it's a beautiful colour that changes depending on the light.

Oh how disappointing, we're jus about to paint our bedroom Elephants Breathe, great colour. "Cream/gold/fern green/dusky pink etc.", they all sound rubbish.

Honestly, who gives a shit whether it’s in or out? Just choose something that you like.

EB below dado, Dimity above. EB is timeless😄

I live dusky pink and terracotta colours, mustard yellow

That’s what I like and neutral whiteish
