How long until you got your first viewing?
How long until you got a (sensible) offer?

First viewing within 72 hours, first sensible offer 4 months later. We did have an early offer within the first week. Also market basically stopped for 3 weeks at Xmas time

Full asking price offer on day it was listed, very easy money for the estate agent Confused

NeverTwerkNaked · 30/04/2018 18:32

3 viewings booked within 1 hour of it going on Rightmove. Offer accepted within 72 hours. Was pretty fast!
They do go fast on our road though. I knew that when we bought 5 years ago and offered asking price the day we viewed it (we were the first viewers).

Wow tobuy and never . Do you mind me asking what part of the country?

We did an Open Day three weeks after it went on the market. Didn't accept viewings before then. Got no offers from the Open Day, then a few days layer had another viewing and got an offer the next day.

We put ours on at the start of Dec, didn't have any viewings for 6 weeks when we had 3 close together and one gave us a good offer. I think it would have been quicker if it wasn't over Christmas.

lolalotta · 30/04/2018 18:47

3 offers at the full asking price within 12 hours of it being on the market. We asked for for money of the first time buyer and they agreed! We're now in our new home Smile

Got 3 calls for viewings on the day we listed, and about 5 viewings on the open house Sunday. First person to view on the Friday offered on the Monday morning and we sold. I'd spent weeks worrying it wouldn't sell haha!

Scotland. Went on very end of January.

Average about 1.5 viewings a week. 2 bed detached bungalow so mainly retirees because we were expensive. New build nice area.

Offer 2.5k below asking price on Monday and another couple asking us to go to a closing date so they could offer too. Accepted first one, as we want to move quickly. Just takes the right person.

AuntMae · 30/04/2018 19:03

We put our house up on the Friday morning, by Friday afternoon we had a viewing scheduled for Saturday afternoon, accepted a offer £2.5k above asking price on the Monday morning.

It was similar when we moved in to that property 4 years previously - they listed it on the Thursday, we viewed on the Friday afternoon, by the following Wednesday we were in a bidding war. It was a nice house but we didn't make any money on it when we sold it.

On the other hand our current house had been on the market for 18 months, reduced it's price by £70k, we were the only ones interested in that time, only a handful of viewings. We paid almost £100k under the original valuation. House hasn't been decorated or updated since it was built in the 70s so needs a total refurbishment which put people off.

We are in Scotland.

First viewing before listed and offer the next day (which we accepted). It's been very fast.

In contrast we were on the market last September. Ridiculous amount of viewings and 2 offers at 6 weeks below asking price.

We are in London.

Jenijena · 30/04/2018 19:39

Went on the market Thursday, four viewings in Sunday morning. Offer one Monday, offer two Tuesday, increased offer on Wednesday, Thursday sold sign went up. I’m in Hampshire.

NeverTwerkNaked · 30/04/2018 19:49

giveme am in south Hampshire

OnePotato · 30/04/2018 19:59

We went live mid afternoon on a Friday and by the end of the day had a viewing booked for the Saturday. During Saturday we had 2 more book in and another for the Sunday. On Monday we had a 2nd viewing and Tuesday two more 1st viewings, one of which made the offer we accepted at £5k below asking price.

egdehsdrawkcab · 01/05/2018 21:49

Went live on Friday afternoon, 11 viewings on Saturday/Monday, three offers by Monday lunchtime. Went with an asking price offer on Monday afternoon.

London!
