How have you decorated your entrance porch?

We're planning to build on a new (fairly small, approx 7ft x 7ft) room as an entrance porch for our quite-near-the-sea Victorian cottage. It will make the house look much prettier and cottagey-er as well as keeping it much warmer than our current 'front door' which is round the side and opens directly into the dining room. But I can't think what use it will be or how to make it look good. We already have a dining room, sitting room and book room. Any ideas? What do you use yours for?

I have one a similar size. It is more like a small conservatory than a porch but really it is a bit of a dumping ground.

I have a table for keys, a long kallax with boxes for shoes and then a cupboard. Coat hooks on one side.

It's quite difficult as it is almost entirely glazed, will yours be closed off or glazed, that might make a difference to how you use it.

Mine is decorated with a variety of scooters in various shades - not sure this is what you had in mind though!

RainbowCookie funny you should say that! I've just removed the build up of scooters to the shed Grin

Thanks but 'dumping ground' wasn't really the look I'd hoped for! I think we'll have a built-in cupboard for coats, bags, shoes etc... maybe a hall table. But I don't want the whole room to be a giant cupboard. It will have a front window but be brick-built, not a conservatory.
