How much roughly would an electrician cost for the following jobs?

To replace 2 wall lights and a ceiling light. (similar replacements)

To fit 2 spot lights in the staircase ceiling.

I have just had 2 hall lights replaced and a ceiling light replaced, plus 6 spot lights fitted in the kitchen ceiling. The spots took the time as he had to lift carpets and floorboards in the room above, whole job took a day and cost including the spots and bulbs was £315 not including vat.

Depending on how complicated the spots are going to be then half to a day's work tops because it'll need new wiring and the access may be awkward. He'll need to cut the holes for them - not a big job. Do you want the electrician to supply the spots? Get fire-rated LEDs - they're not very expensive.
