eBay and online. Narrowed it down then shopped around. I found a grohe towel rail a builder was selling off in an eBay auction and saved about £20. The hard part is narrowing down the choices.

wowfudge · 28/02/2018 10:58

Also found the bath we wanted at a promo price in B&Q - it was more than £200 dearer elsewhere.

specialsubject · 28/02/2018 11:41

bath, toilet, sink from a plumbers merchant. Mirror, shelf, toilet roll holder from Wilkinson.

tiles from a local supplier - although I do like those plastic panels you get now. Floor from Wickes.

An architect friend has just recommended Duravit stuff, so going to have a look at that.

Current stuff is from Bathstore and Victoria Plumb, and it is wearing horribly.

JW13 · 28/02/2018 15:05

Duravit is good quality and you can get good prices online. We have a sink/vanity and toilet from there which are wearing well so far.

We've also got radiators and other fixtures from soak.com who deliver really quickly.

Oddbutnotodd · 28/02/2018 15:09

I have Duravit bath, basin and loo with Gerberit wall frame for loo. Tiles from Minoli and Hansgrohe shower, Meryl screen. All bought from bathroom supplier with a discount. Radiator from online supplier. Same as Fired Earth but much cheaper.

JoJoSM2 · 28/02/2018 16:24

Heritage and Burlington. Suitable for high quality, more traditional styles but have price tags to match.

viktoria · 28/02/2018 16:44

Don't use Bathstore. Their "lifetime guarantee" can be as little as 2 years guarantee. They also seem to have more than doubled some prices in the last few years.

I am in the same position currently and looking at national bathrooms com website. Seems to have a lot of stuff.

Rsp11 · 02/03/2018 13:57

Was in the same position a few months ago, there are sooo many websites to trawl through! We had our family bathroom and ensuite re-done so we had lots to shop for and its not easy knowing exactly what you need. After many hours spent on the internet and calling around to cut a long story short we eventually went with everythingbathroom.co.uk as the customer support was amazing and the main thing was it was within our budget and the products are great quality. For Tiles we went to our local Topps Tiles as they had an offer on for the wood effect tiles I wanted. This is the bathroom style I went for with the storage as the biggest issue I had was having no where to hide away my stuff (with 2 kids the only way to keep the house tidy is to chuck things in cupboards and drawers!!)

Grohe, Hansgrohe, Crosswater and Gerberit.

I can second that Duravit are excellent. Really good bathroom furniture too.

Roca are very good for lower end and Vitra are excellent too.

PigletJohn · 02/03/2018 17:21

Aqualisa showers, Bristan taps.

TeamRick · 02/03/2018 17:51

Shower tray & screen local plumbers merchant
Toilet Victoria plumb
Wall mounted vanity unit sink with drawers Ikea
Tall narrow wall mounted cabinet with mirror door Ikea
Wall mounted mirror with light up surround Ikea
Shower Aquilser and a Briston tap from Amazon

I know Bath Store always get bad reviews on here but my mum is in her eighties & bought a shower etc there & they have been brilliant! Sent her parts through the post, given her advise when something's playing up, maybe she's just lucky with a good local shop.

Heartshapedfairylights · 02/03/2018 18:12

Mostly Victoria plumbing. Would recommend.

Heartshapedfairylights · 02/03/2018 18:15

Sorry, that should say Victorian plumbing!

OneEpisode · 02/03/2018 18:16

Double sink unit Ikea. Shower and tray and loo wall and floor tiles online (all different). Loo was “ideal” brand and ordered online from a reseller that happened to be a mile away, but arrived direct from manufacturer.

Alwayscheerful · 03/03/2018 05:54

Duravit toilets and Duravit Wall hung vanity units.
Matki shower enclosures.
Bette bath
Hansgrohe brassware.

rogue8 · 03/03/2018 08:35

My local plumbers’ merchant has a small showroom display and will offer a cash account discount. The more you buy, the bigger the discount you can negotiate. Know your prices by doing your research first online. Know exactly what you want - what brand/model. This will test your budget especially when you are buying to kit out 3 bathrooms and a downstairs loo and you realise that you really like the look of Laufen but not when you have to buy 4 sets of everything.

OnePotato · 02/05/2018 21:32

Following too.

Can anyone recommend the best loo roll holders to buy? Want ones that fix to the wall, won’t break, tarnish, come loose or be damaged by use/steam etc.

Tinydesigns · 02/05/2018 22:20
