I’m hopeless
No design eye whatsoever.
Single mum and no one to ask. Renovating bathroom, it’s a quirky turn of the century property. The builder needs my decision ASAP!

Any thoughts?

Thanks so much

What's the rest of the bathroom like? How big is it? Which area needs tiling?

BarbaraOcumbungles · 20/01/2018 18:08

Pinterest is your best friend on circustances such as these.

What do you like?

Alittleconcerned1980 · 20/01/2018 18:28

I can’t bear pin interest. I feel swamped.

Tonge and groove white panelling running along bottom half of wall.

So I need tiling above it.

And flooring but I’ll go with amtico for that, and the flooring will match the tiles rather than other way around.

Dark masculine seductive style - wouldn’t look good!

Traditional, quirky, light (although I would consider dark if looked good)

Thank you!

Spain or Morocco.

Have a look at The Fired Earth website, but I warn you now it is ££££££!

Firstaidnovice · 20/01/2018 18:33

I got lovely tiles from best-tile. An Irish company, but shipping isn't too expensive, and they are so much cheaper than anything else I could find it more than made up for it.

FrannySalinger · 20/01/2018 18:33

Can you post a photo of the room?

FutureDays · 20/01/2018 18:33

British ceramic tile website

Alittleconcerned1980 · 20/01/2018 18:35

The website tons of tiles is brilliant and is super cheap!

Alittleconcerned1980 · 20/01/2018 18:37

I’ve looked. Perfect but too much.

I’d pay up to £40 sq metre

why do you need tiles above T & G? I have plain painted walls above mine - cheaper.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 20/01/2018 19:04

BCT as above pp mentioned, Stokes Tiles, Euro Services Ltd. Walls & Floors, CTD.

Fired Earth?

meettherussians · 20/01/2018 21:51

Use Mandarin Stone- they stock the most beautiful marble tiles around for much less than Fired Earth or even Tops Tiles charge for similar marble. They currently have a 15% off sale. Marble looks and feels decadent and so much more pricey than it actually is, never dates and goes with everything. We went for beautiful tumbled, matt marble square tiles from Mandarin on floor (www.mandarinstone.com/product/calacatta-tumbled-marble/) and cheap as chips white metro tiles, from Tons of tiles on walls (with pale grey grout) - its stunning.
