Is it possible to restain/paint an engineered wood floor without taking it up off the ground?

4 years on and we dislike the colour of the engineered wood floor we had put in the kitchen. The colour would be okay but there's not enough contrast with the colour of the kitchen units. Do we have any options to change the shade or colour other than replacing the floor?

Of course, just sand and paint like you would a solid wood floor. You can always get someone in to sand the floor if you don't want to do it yourself.
