Has anyone pulled out of house sale because it just wasn't the right time?

And how did it work out.

Dh and I have agreed we've gone sstc 6 months too early and have today (one week after accepting offer) pulled out.

I feel relieved and also bloody annoyed. There were some unforseen circumstances that meant our plan couldn't work and we didn't have a proper back up plan (which we'll definitely have next time)

Just wondering about other people's stories and how it worked out.

We had a family bereavement in June and pulled out of both buying and selling. We'd had a full structural survey on the place we were buying. Everybody was kind. We are now looking again.

We did. We accepted an offer then realised there was an issue with our lease that would take time to sort and we didn't want the pressure of it being done in tandem with us selling and buying somewhere else. So pleased we gave ourselves the breathing space, and when we re-marketed we sold straight away, albeit for a bit less than the original offer. It was worth the hit though.
