Anyone on here live in Walton? My partner and I are thinking of moving there but don't know a great deal about it. We currently live in Kingston. Any help would be greatly appreciated! X

I don't live there but used to go there from time to time and I liked it but realise that isn't much help, so am bumping the thread for you.

Yup, we moved there a couple of years ago from Essex. Well, technically to Hersham. What makes you choose Walton?

Humptynumpty02 · 18/09/2017 09:05

Most people we know who live in Hersham say they live in Walton so yes it must be good.

It's a lot nicer since they knocked down the entire town centre and rebuilt it. It's very stereotyped Surrey - main opposition to the Tories is UKIP and in local elections the Walton Society, you do see the odd non-white face now, have heard several state schools aren't great because practically half of local kids go private but couldn't say myself, and there used to be very few people age between 18 and 35-40 as kids leave to go to uni and never return, then others move out of London. If you want a Surrey town it should tick all the boxes. The cinema is lovely.

What do you want to know?

There is no serious opposition to the Tories. UKIP are certainly NOT the 'main opposition'.
