Hello,
I'm planning to buy somewhere with my SO next summer and looking for some advice on areas - we'd like somewhere where we could drive out to see family on the M40 without spending an interminable amount of time on the M25.
Budget is dependent on external factors but looking to be around £500k. We'd like at least two double bedrooms and some kind of outdoor space.
I'll be commuting to westminster, and SO to somewhere in central London, so tubes/trains obviously important.
I don't know West London at all - we currently live in Islington and can walk to work, so seriously spoilt. Not super fussed on restaurants etc., but would be great to have a nice park and pub, and not feel too far away from everything.
We're currently a bit torn about how far ahead to plan - we're planning to try for kids in about 3 years. So is it reasonable to plan for this, given uncertainty of housing market post Brexit and costs of moving?
If we think more in the short term, Acton seems like it might be a good option. But if we're looking forward more, Hanwell seems lovely in a more family sense, and clearly will benefit lots from Crossrail.
Any other area suggestions, or general wisdom Mumsnetters?
Thanks in advance!
