Let's see if all the solicitors stay in the office long enough to exchange shall we?

You and me both pulling although I doubt it's going to happen for us today. Are we all ready for a rousing version of the Don't-worry-we're-on-it-and-it-will-be-sorted-on-the-12th-of-never? Grin

perhapstomorrow · 23/10/2017 08:05

Another week waiting for exchange! Need some positive luck this week if we are to complete on 30th!!🤞

MrsPussinBoots · 23/10/2017 08:06

Fingers crossed for everybody this week. Maybe THIS is the week that everything gets sorted?
I’ve told my broker I want the mortgage sorted today. The issue is that my tax credits say I’m paying childcare until 23rd Sept but Nationwide are continuing to include it so massive drop in affordability. Guessing I’ll have to just swallow it though as they’ve refused to budge for over a week and won’t accept any evidence to the contrary. Gutted I hadn’t sent in the tax credit statement which actually included childcare.

Oh Lazy I've been ill with a kidney infection this weekend too so my energy levels are through the floor!

SellMyFlat · 23/10/2017 08:25

Morning all.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Just a quick update on the leafleting idea, I posted around 35/40 leaflets through to houses in the area I'm looking at. Had to google which ones were suitable in terms of number of bedrooms so that took some time. I have about another 60 houses to go so will keep you all updated Smile

pullingmyhairout1 · 23/10/2017 08:43

Good luck sell x

Gizlotsmum · 23/10/2017 10:39

AnnPerkins · 23/10/2017 11:03

Xposted - and for you pulling!

Knittedbreasts · 23/10/2017 11:53

So today I found out that while my buyer has instructed a solicitors, they still dont have an actual solicitor so no searches have been done and no legal work being done. I don't know what to do anymore.

SerialGoogler · 23/10/2017 12:27

Waiting here too...

pullingmyhairout1 · 23/10/2017 12:27

Still no news. I cannot cope with this shit much longer.

Knittedbreasts · 23/10/2017 12:39

This is atrocious.

WhatwouldOliviaPopedo · 23/10/2017 12:42

Good luck Giz and Pulling and everyone waiting for news this week. Knitted, how long has it been since you accepted your buyer's offer? It sounds like you need to issue them with a deadline to make progress or you're pulling out.

pullingmyhairout1 · 23/10/2017 12:42

I genuinely want to cry now. I cannot cope with this uncertainty any longer. Absolutely sick to death of this constant stress, and living in a shell of a house that is making me ill.

Nessalina · 23/10/2017 12:48

Sending out positive vibes to all!!!

The removals company we really like are only available for one day of the one week we have to complete in, so I'm trying to ring round and check that date works for everyone, but no one will answer the damn phone Sad
My EA says that solicitors usually only do exchanges on Mondays and Fridays - has anyone else heard this?

Pixiedust1973 · 23/10/2017 12:49

They are with an online agent Nessalina Not the greatest tbh. Details were quite good, except for one thing, no directions to the house, which is actually a very small gated development off of a main road. Took us a fair while to find it, im sure many peole couldn't find it & gave up. I bet if they had it on with a proper agent they could of sold it far quicker & for more money. They actually told us that they got a "silly offer" in the first week, which they turned down. We ended up paying 43k less than their original asking price & less than the previous offer. Market is awful though, & they had to sell. Plus it was all we could afford given the level of offer on ours.

Partly due to market conditions & partly due to our neighbours ongoing eyesore DIY projects we got 36k less than our asking price. Im actually furious with the selfishness of our neighbours. Even the surveyor agreed it was an eyesore & cost us 20k! Angry Of course, it could all come to nothing anyway, as still waiting to hear on our buyers buyer having their survey done!

Knittedbreasts · 23/10/2017 13:02

Olivia it was the 3rd of October. No sales memo til 12th. I just don't know what can be done anymore.

Gizlotsmum · 23/10/2017 13:11

@ness our solicitor seems happy to exchange tomorrow if not today! I want it done today but she said she will call when she has everything in place..I can’t keep hassling her.. will give it till 3 then chase...

OP posts:
pullingmyhairout1 · 23/10/2017 13:19

@giz it's stressful isn't it?

Gizlotsmum · 23/10/2017 13:32

I am hating it! @pulling we have been ready to go for 2 weeks but our buyers lender is slow and we are again waiting on our buyer.
