Which type of material in a shower cubicle is easiest to clean?

Maybe I dreamt this but last time we did a bathroom I am sure that there were shower cubicles made out of different materials or maybe coated in a different material which meant they were easier to clean - water marks etc. I am looking at redoing a bathroom and cannot see mention of this anywhere so have I made this up or are there particular types which are better? Thanks very much.

We have Mermaid Board on our showers and it's brilliant for cleaning and doesn't need grout (clear silicone sealant on the edges) Initially expensive but way cheaper than tiles in the long term

Sorry I was not clear - I meant the type of plastic or similar that the cubicle itself is made out of not the tiling or alternatives that go with it.
