Kitchen extension- confused about types of insurance and what we need.

Just about to start our kitchen extension and our home insurance company h ave told us our builder needs to have public liability and all risks insurance. Having googled am I right in thinking that all risks includes public liability? Also do we need separate extension insurance?

You don't need to have the insurance your builder does. So when you get quotes you ask them for evidence that they are insured.

My builder sent me copies of his insurance when he quoted. Just ask your builder for it.
