Can I retrofit bifold doors in to an older extension?

After months of looking we have finally found a house that we like. However it has been extended to the rear with a very dark and dated extension- think tiny doors to the outside and the smallest possible skylight!

I was wondering if it would be possible to retrofit bifold doors on to it, and if anyone knows if its possible, how much it is likely to cost?

They say roughly £1k per metre

I can't see why you wouldn't be able to. Check your building calcs if you're removing brickwork

You'll need building regs approval which will mean getting drawings to submit and calculations done as the above poster mentioned, as you'll likely need an RSJ put in above the doors. Building regs is about £150 for submission and inspection visit where I am.

We're about to replace 2 windows with a 3m set of bifolds and the work is costing around £2500, and I can't remember what we haggled the doors to now.

Thanks. A bit more work than I was expecting but think it will be worth it.
