Ball Park cost of a two storey side extension on a semi

Hi, we are first time buyers and have found a semi we really like the look of with the potential to build a two storey side extension, and wondered if anyone living in the SE in/around Surrey/Sussex had had similar work done and could give us some ball park figures. I reckon space wise it would come out around 10ft and around 28ft long.
Thanks so much!

Have recently had a 2 storey extension and the basic build costs (so to a plaster finish, with plug sockets / light switches etc) its been about £2k per square metre. Your dimensions are approximately 32 sq metres per floor, so as a rough estimate, I'd say maybe £65k for the shell?

If you and your DH are quite good at diy then you can keep the costs down. We fitted our own kitchen and bathroom including flooring. We also did all the internal painting (our builder hated doing paintwork so he was happy)

I'm in Kent and we've been quoted 2.5k per square meter from three builders so that's more realistic I think

Don't forget to add on VAT

Wowzers, that is really pricey. Thank you all so much. Sadly whilst I am handy and a creative type I am physically disabled and OH has been known to take 3 hours and 10 holes in the wall to put in a simple bathroom mirror 😱😱 so I don't think important diy like kitchen and bathroom fitting would work that well.....
