Please can you help me with the layout of awkward room

For various reasons we have a room that is very narrow and long.

There is only one window on the left end and the doorway is on the other end. The left hand space is part of an extension and so there is an opening between it and the original room on the right.

My thoughts are that we are not going to be able to change the dimensions of the rooms and we're not going to get away from the fact that the room is long, narrow and dimly lit at one end so we need to work with what we've got.

I've made the left hand room more of a chill out room with comfy sofa etc and the main room the tv room.We have 3 teenage children so need plenty of seating.

Is this the best use of the space? Can anyone come up with something more ingenious to stop it looking like a corridor? Excuse the garish colours - I needed to be able to see the items more easily Grin.

What is on the wall in front of the two green sofas? Could you put those sofas on a bit of an angle towards each other with a wee table between them for sitting chatting? Is the TV in the room with the pink sofa?

Do you have any other social spaces? I am wondering if you have a dining area that could be a sitting room and use the long narrow space as a dining room?

I have placed a tv on the wall in front of the 2 green sofas. I was thinking of the pink sofa area as being more of a snug type room rather than the tv room. We have a kitchen/diner with a sofa in already.

I think in that space i would have one sofa facing the TV then two chairs on an angle, either side of the sofa.
