Investing in them would set us back a lot but they are lovely. Are they worth it, do you think?

I had white ones in my previous house and thought they looked lovely. Still looked as good as New after 9 years when I moved and left them.

Have you checked whether your windows would take the Ikea wooden blinds as they are really good quality without a high price. Great if they fit your windows but not if you have non standard sized windows like us.

Ours are from IKEA. DH just cut them to size. We are tightarses though. And they look very nice.

Do you mean plantation shutters OP?

ChocChocPorridge · 28/04/2017 20:08

I got mine from some random internet site and they were great - blocked a surprising amount of light out, and looked lovely.

You do need to be sure of your measurements and confident with a drill though, as they're pretty heavy!

Yes random internet ones here were well cheap and cut to your measurement.

If you mean plantation shutters, then yes they're worth the money. I've had mine five years and still as good as new
