Gas and Electrics checks/certificates - is the buyer or vendor responsible?

Just after a quick response. Clueless FTB btw. Survey said these need to be obtained from vendor, when asked the vendor has said it's our responsibility which is 100% fine if correct.

Anyone know for sure?

My mortgage company would not accept any surveys/reports/searches from the vendors they had to be obtained by us.

I'm sure someone who is more in the know will comment but that was my experience previously.

We recently had to get a gas certificate. Electric is only if the system was installed after a certain date. If it's before that date, the buyer can pay for an electric survey to check it's safety.

Sorry, should have said A's sellers we provided a gas safety certificate.

When we sold out last house, the buyers wanted certificates and we told them they could have them if they paid for them. They didn't get them done in the end.
We did have to give a certificate for the electrics on the new shower as it was fitted after a certain date though.
