The sort of things you might see on grand designs... big rocks, maybe the size of an ottoman or an alsation... something too big for someone to nick but not Stonehenge either.

Maybe Spinal Tap Stonehenge!

Ideally someone who delivers in the south east.

Google stone merchants in your area

Reclamation yards...

Thanks CountMagnus, that's a really useful link.

I think I'll try landscape garderns too as they probably get asked to do the installations.

Worth noting that round here 'stone merchants' were generally memorial and grave stone suppliers.

How about this place? Mostly natural shaped rock, but very big. www.architecturalgranite.co.uk/featurerock.html

Cheers for that @diggingforvictory - natural shaped is what I want - and not too far away!!!

Garden centres sell them.

Ah sorry, round here a sizeable minority sell stuff for landscaping, from massive tubs of sized rocks up to single "pieces" you might turn into a water feature. Like a macro version of what you get at a big garden centre. I can think of 3 within a 5 mile radius - maybe we live in a hotspot!

beldaran maybe let your DH know that his company came up quickly on a Google search?
